課程大綱

This course will be tailored to the special need of individual students. It intends to cover the following major areas: (1) Introduction to economic research methodology and research preparations (2) Review of literature in the areas of particular interest (3) Selection of research topic and formulate the framework of study (4) Critically review the models formulated (5) Empirical investigation

課程目標

The objectives of this course are: (1) To help students to undertake independent studies (2) To arouse the interest of students in dealing with empirical studies of economic problems (3) To enable students to apply appropriate tools in economic research

授課方式

The instruction is mainly through investigation of empirical studies. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions and to share his or her research experience with fellow students.

1.Mid-term examination：40%
2.Quizzes：10%
3.Final examination：50%
